The video explores aesthetics in nature, tracing formal patterns and cycles of growth and decay and using artificial intelligence to generate new forms from them. From fractal structures – patterns in which forms repeat themselves at different scales, as evident in the branching of trees and blood vessels – to the spiral structures characteristic of leaf growth and shell formation, nature emerges as a complex system of repetition, variation, and internal organization. These formal patterns are expressions of efficient resource-management systems that enable survival, adaptation, and continuity.

At the heart of the project is the act of observation. A closeup view reveals nature’s intricate, microscopic architecture, leading from the everyday toward the wondrous.
